Photography

When I took some photographs a few years ago for a multimedia class, I discovered the beauty of imperfection: an old wooden playground with chipped paint and a sun-bleached driver's wheel...

A garbage bin, rusted on the inside; a theater billboard with a few discolored, off-kilter letters...

 

 I was reminded of the phrase, "A picture is worth a thousand words." Everyone has a story: the boys walking briskly to class, coming out of the sun and passing through the shade; the girl staring down at her phone as she walks through the hall...

 The aftermath of a party, or a recycling bin outside a library?
